Straight Jackin'

While Switch and Sinden are all the rage now (and rightly so) not as much attention has been paid to Switch's alter-ego 'Solid Groove'. He has been producing quality house music for some time and this track is a perfect example. While searching through my old vinyl for possible tunes for this blog I came across this little gem. With a deep/techie vibe, it utilises the same sample that DJ Shadow did for Midnight In A Perfect World (David Axlerod-The Human Abstract). Just wait for the breakdown!

Much like Duffy, I am not sure I can see what the fuss is over Adele. However, Basement Jaxx come correct with a mix that sees them return to the 'Rooty' era jackin' house that made them a house hold name. One for Carnival me thinks!!

Sunday Chill Out

I'm back from holiday and relaxing in some (rare) English sunshine.
